As the Summer Market approaches, the excitement in the air is palpable. From fresh produce to handmade crafts, there’s always something to see and do. And, of course, there’s the musical portion of the event which should be a highlight.
In preparation for the Music Festival portion of the Pioneer Square Summer Market, I turned to Stability AI to give me some “cool poster ideas”. While the results varied from “pretty cool” to “actually, really cool”, I soon discovered that the AI had a problem with words in its graphics. It seemed to imagine them more as shapes than meaningful information, resulting in gibberish where band names and dates should be.
Despite this small hiccup, I couldn’t help but be impressed by the AI’s designs. They were visually stunning, with vibrant colors and abstract shapes that somehow captured the essence of the event. So, instead of discarding them, I decided to create a gallery of my favorites so far.
As I scrolled through the gallery, I was struck by the sheer creativity and beauty of the designs. Some featured bold, geometric shapes in eye-catching hues, while others had a more organic, fluid feel. Some were reminiscent of psychedelic rock posters from the 60s, while others had a sleek, modern edge.
What I loved most about the designs, though, was their ability to convey a sense of excitement and energy. Even without the actual band names or dates, the posters still managed to capture the spirit of the event. They were like visual invitations, enticing viewers to come and join the fun.
Of course, I know that the missing information is a problem that needs to be addressed before the posters can be printed and distributed. But in the meantime, I’m happy to have this gallery of stunning designs to admire and share. They capture the essence of the Pioneer Square Summer Market and convey a sense of excitement and energy. Who knows, with a little bit of creativity, the gibberish might just inspire something truly unique and memorable too. Crazier things have happened.
